Engineering

DevOps consulting that ships, with an on-call rotation an engineer can actually live with.

CI/CD that ships, infrastructure-as-code that holds together, and the operational habits that keep the pager quiet. Terraform, Ansible, and GitHub Actions, wired into your stack and your team.

What it is

DevOps, in plain terms.

CI/CD that ships, infrastructure-as-code that holds together, and an on-call rotation an engineer can actually live with. Releases are scary. Terraform has drifted past the point of trust. On-call is burning out the only people who understand the system. We come in for all three.

We standardize on tools that have earned their place: Terraform and OpenTofu for cloud and colo, Ansible for configuration where it still fits, GitHub Actions for pipelines, and Argo or Flux when GitOps is the right shape. We do not chase frameworks. We pick the smallest set that solves your problem and document why.

On-call is part of the engagement, not a separate conversation. We design rotations, alert routing, and runbooks so the pager fires for things a human should actually look at. That work is informed by running our own NOC and our own AS, where the cost of a bad page is measured in real customer minutes.

When you'd want this

Common triggers for this engagement.

  • 01Releases are stressful and the deploy steps live in a senior engineer's head
  • 02Your Terraform has drifted and nobody trusts apply anymore
  • 03On-call is burning out the team and you need a real rotation with real runbooks
  • 04You are moving from a single environment to multi-region or multi-account and want it done once, properly
How we engage
01
Discovery call
30 min, this week
You'll talk to an engineer, not an SDR. We read the bills, look at the diagrams, ask the unfashionable questions.
02
Scoped proposal
Within 5 business days
Honest scope, fixed price or T&M, named engineers. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you who is.
03
Engagement kickoff
2–4 weeks typical
Embedded with your team. The same people who write the design are the ones on the bridge.
Frequently asked

Questions teams ask before signing.

Which cloud and on-prem environments do you work in?

AWS, Google Cloud, and Azure on the cloud side, and our own colo and customer colo on the bare-metal side. The same patterns we apply in cloud accounts apply to the racks we operate.

Will you run our on-call, or just design it?

Both options exist. We can design and hand off the rotation, share it with your team, or run it under our 24/7 NOC. Most engagements start with shared on-call so the runbooks get tested by us first.

How do you avoid the usual DevOps tool sprawl?

We pick the smallest stack that solves the problem and we write down why. If a tool is not earning its keep in six months, we say so in the next review instead of letting it stay forever.
