Engineering

Custom software development, written and shipped by the engineers who designed it.

We build in TypeScript, Go, and Python for teams that need working code, not a deck. The same engineers writing the design are on the keyboard during cutover.

What it is

Software Development, in plain terms.

Production-grade builds for the systems your team is going to live with for years. We staff the work and ship it — not just architect it. Most engagements start with a tight spec, a short list of risks, and a working prototype within the first few weeks. From there we iterate against your real traffic, not a sandbox.

Our stack is deliberately narrow so we can be senior at all of it: TypeScript on the front and back, Go for services that need to be fast and boring, Python for data and glue. We write tests because we are the ones who get paged. We document because the next engineer to touch it should not have to guess.

Because we also run AS54098 and operate our own infrastructure, we write code that understands the network and the box it lives on. That matters when a request times out at the load balancer and nobody can tell whether it is the app, the kernel, or BGP. We can answer that question without a meeting.

When you'd want this

Common triggers for this engagement.

  • 01You have a working prototype that needs to become a production system without a full rewrite
  • 02Your internal team is at capacity and you need senior engineers who can ship in weeks, not quarters
  • 03A previous vendor delivered code your team cannot maintain and you want a clean second pass
  • 04You need a partner who will own a service end-to-end, including on-call, until you are ready to take it back
How we engage
01
Discovery call
30 min, this week
You'll talk to an engineer, not an SDR. We read the bills, look at the diagrams, ask the unfashionable questions.
02
Scoped proposal
Within 5 business days
Honest scope, fixed price or T&M, named engineers. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you who is.
03
Engagement kickoff
2–4 weeks typical
Embedded with your team. The same people who write the design are the ones on the bridge.
Frequently asked

Questions teams ask before signing.

What languages and stacks do you write?

TypeScript end-to-end (Node and modern React frameworks), Go for services and CLI tooling, and Python for data work, automation, and ML glue. We pick the stack to fit the problem, not the other way around.

Do you take on greenfield projects, or only existing systems?

Both. Greenfield is faster because there are no surprises in the codebase. For existing systems we start with a short read of the repo and a written assessment before we touch anything.

How is this different from a typical software consultancy?

We staff the build with the same engineers who design it, we run the network and infrastructure under the code, and we stay on the rotation until your team is ready to own it. The handoff is part of the contract, not an afterthought.

Will we own the code and the IP?

Yes. You own the repo, the deployment artifacts, and the documentation. We keep no kill-switch and no proprietary glue you cannot replace.
