Network services

A 24/7 NOC where pages go to humans, not ticket queues.

Eyes on your network around the clock, run by the engineers who write the runbooks. Follow-the-sun coverage out of an operator that runs its own ASN.

What it is

24/7 NOC, in plain terms.

A real network operations center, staffed continuously by engineers — not a tier-1 phone bank that escalates back to you. We watch the same kind of gear we run ourselves on AS54098, so the patterns are familiar. Routers, switches, BGP sessions, transit links, peering health, DNS authority, VPN concentrators, application reachability — whatever the scope, the alerts route to a human who has read the runbook.

Onboarding is collaborative. We sit with your team, document the topology, agree on what is paging-worthy versus ticket-worthy, write the runbook together, and rehearse the failover procedures before we go live. The first time we run your incident response should not be during an incident.

Reporting is monthly and readable. What paged, why, what we did, mean time to acknowledge, mean time to resolve, and one or two specific recommendations. No vanity dashboards.

When you'd want this

Common triggers for this engagement.

  • 01Your team should not be the on-call rotation for the network
  • 02You need follow-the-sun coverage without staffing three time zones
  • 03Your current monitoring routes pages into a queue nobody watches
  • 04You want runbooks rehearsed before they are needed
How we engage
01
Discovery call
30 min, this week
You'll talk to an engineer, not an SDR. We read the bills, look at the diagrams, ask the unfashionable questions.
02
Scoped proposal
Within 5 business days
Honest scope, fixed price or T&M, named engineers. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you who is.
03
Engagement kickoff
2–4 weeks typical
Embedded with your team. The same people who write the design are the ones on the bridge.
Frequently asked

Questions teams ask before signing.

Do you only monitor gear you sold us?

No. We monitor whatever is in scope — your firewalls, switches, routers, BGP sessions, DNS, VPN, application probes. We will tell you if something is unmonitorable in its current state and what it would take to fix that.

Who actually picks up at 3am?

An engineer on the follow-the-sun rotation who has read your runbook. Not a tier-1 reader, not a chatbot. If we cannot resolve in-scope, escalation to your team is on a path you defined during onboarding.

What does a paging-worthy event look like?

Whatever you decide during onboarding. We help you draw the line between 'page a human now' and 'ticket for the morning' — based on impact, business hours and the cost of a false page at 4am.

How fast can we get a NOC live?

Weeks, not months. The pace is set by how quickly we can get good monitoring data and write the runbooks together. Lift-and-shift of an existing NOC is faster than greenfield.

Which monitoring toolset do you run?

We are tool-agnostic on the monitoring stack — we adapt to your environment. Where there is nothing in place yet, we deploy what we run ourselves: Prometheus and Grafana for metrics, Loki for logs, and LibreNMS or NetBox where the network surface is the primary concern. The point is the alerts and the runbooks, not which logo is on the dashboard.

What is the acknowledgement target on a paging-worthy event?

Fifteen minutes for events you have flagged as paging-worthy during onboarding. Resolution time depends on scope and access; we report MTTA and MTTR in the monthly summary and review against the runbook.

DDoS Mitigation

Traffic scrubbing and BGP-level filtering on AS54098 for the floods that don't politely stop. We design the runbook in advance so the 3 a.m. version isn't a first draft.

IP Transit (BGP)

Full BGP transit on AS54098 with direct peering at Hurricane Electric and transit through GTT into the rest of the Tier-1 fabric. Bring your own ASN and prefixes — we handle the policy and the on-call.

Anycast DNS

Authoritative DNS served from a network we run ourselves, with anycast presence at the locations that matter. For the records you can't afford to lose during a registrar incident.

Operational Transformation

Reshaping how the work moves through your org — not just renaming the meetings. We start where the friction actually lives and work outward.
